“I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

The death of a loved one, whether sudden or otherwise, is always a difficult and often confusing time.  The celebration of the Funeral Rites allows the community to pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased while also allowing those who mourn to be comforted and find peace in the proclamation of the Word of God and reception of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

If you wish to celebrate the funeral of a loved one at Mother of Divine Providence, your funeral director will work with our parish staff to schedule the date.  Someone from our office will reach out to schedule a meeting to plan the funeral liturgy, and our Director of Music will also be in touch with regard to musical selections.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the parish office or to reach out to your funeral director.
