Religious Liberty

The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to religious freedom. At times, however, this important right can be threatened by laws and policies that would force people to violate their religious beliefs.  As a people of faith, we are often challenged to stand up for what we believe to be true and good, and to make our voices heard when our right to do so may be threatened.  The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops maintain a website of current issues and actions that can be taken.  It can be accessed at  http://www.usccb.org/issues-and-action/religious-liberty/index.cfm
