Dear Parishioners:
This is a new era for Mother of Divine Providence Parish as we launch our first capital campaign since the founding of the parish over fifty years ago. Many families have worshipped in our church, sent their children to our school and religious education program, and nurtured their spiritual lives here.
We are called to build on that foundation today. Like those who came before us, it is our turn to address the needs of our vibrant and growing parish. We have spent nearly two years studying many possibilities to expand our meeting and gathering spaces, upgrade existing facilities (including handicapped accessibility and lighting), and ensure that we are ready for the future. After much consideration and an extensive philanthropic study, we, as a parish, have set the priorities: create a Parish Center by attaching other facilities to the existing gym; expand McGrory Hall by utilizing vacated office space; provide additional handicapped parking and accessibility; improve interior church lighting; and assess our infrastructure.
By working together, by Building on the Foundation of our Catholic faith and dedication of our founding parishioners, we can move Mother of Divine Providence Parish into its next fifty years --- with room to grow! Please take the time to review the information on this website. It should help you visualize our parish plan. At the same time, our Campaign Co-Chairs and Cabinet volunteers are available to answer any questions you may have, as am I.
Please join me in making a three-year pledge toward the Building on the Foundation capital campaign. Together, we can bestow our legacy for our children and generations to come. I take this opportunity to thank our Co-Chairs Chip and Jayne Lloyd, Drew and Marybeth Pedlow, and Hap and Patty Trainor, as well as our Cabinet members for their dedication and support of Building on the Foundation. I ask you to continue to pray that we are guided by the Holy Spirit in this important work.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway
