I have decided to try out a new idea for our website, On Top of Father’s Desk. This will give me the opportunity, every once in a while, to let you glimpse into what a priest does during the day or the week.
Today, Sister Veronica and I went to Montgomery Hospital for a visitation. Happily the patient was recuperating well. We prayed together and I gave him a blessing.
Our summer staff meeting began after lunch (in which we shared Sister Veronica’s tomatoes, cucumbers and some fresh basil from the garden). On the item list were some calendar adjustments and an overview of what the YEAR OF FAITH would look like in our parish!
I am excited to see our website getting ready for this important universal ecclesial event which starts on October 14th at the 11:30am Mass in our Church.
Just this moment I am waiting for the Director of Seminarian Summer Assignments to meet with me and Joe Zaleski about how Joe is doing in our parish. I’d like to say, very well!! Father will stay for dinner and we will have some conversation afterward. I am looking forward to meeting with him.
My family will all be at the shore for the next couple of weeks and I will miss them all. I hope they have a good time. I may stop down and see them for a Kessel’s fresh peach Sundae!!! THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope everyone is not too hot these are crazy days and I want to say make sure you drink lots of water!!
